Following its foundation on 11 May 1991 under the name Dunabest Kft. At the time, the assortment of the company included four premium brands, which has been expanded by countless new brands over the past three decades, facilitating their success in the Hungarian FMCG market.

Today, as a subsidiary of Maresi Austria GmbH and a member of Austrian VIVATIS Holding, we are a regional distributor company with a stable international background.

Through our effective sales and marketing organisations, we are present as a professional partner in five European countries, namely Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Romania and Slovakia.

Our products and services are focused on consumer needs. We combine our experience with a modern outlook in order to meet current demands. We also monitor consumers in their current omnichannel behaviour and build bridges between their needs and points of sale. Our brands can be found at all sorts of different touchpoints: in classic brick-and-mortar retail, at fuel stations , in pharmacies and online in e-commerce.

Maresi Austria achieved the highest level of IFS BROKER certification in 2016. IFS BROKER is an internationally recognised standard for food safety and quality, and ensures that products meet strict requirements regarding hygiene, specified product properties and product safety – something we are very proud of.
